Kaiju Records Rebrand

Kaiju Records is a record store located in Downtown Salisbury, MD. I really love this store and was able to talk to the owner personally about design specifics. I wanted to elevate their current logo as it was outdated.
Utilizing Salisbury University’s Nabb Research Center, I found inspiration in vintage 1940s Japanese matchbox cards, as well as old comics. I created illustrations to add more distinction to what they previously had in their logo. I tried to give it an authentic and inviting feel.
